We are a husband and wife team with two children, Scott and Miles.

We have owned and lived at the lakes 1985. For the first 8 years we lived in a mobile home whilst building up the business. In the early days we both had jobs outside of the lakes to support the stocking, maintenance and the addition of the cottages, named Rowan and Pintail, then eventually Mandarin cottage which are all close to the roadside lake. Following that, renovation of the original house that are now Mallard and Teal cottages.

The Woodland Lake (Match Lake) we excavated 7 years ago. All the other lakes are old brick pits that have been lovingly restored. Three years ago the addition of self catering log cabins were made which are proving very popular and nestle in nicely near the Island Lake. The cabins are "Aider," "Muscovy," "Goldeneye" and "Aylesbury."

The latest addition which opened at Easter 2004 is the Touring and Camping Site which is adjacent to the Specimen Lake and Island Lake. The new Touring Site has a separate entrance as shown on the Site Plan.

Jose spends most of his working days at our water lily nursery which is just behind Woodland Lake. If you wish to stroll around and view the water lily blooms, just ask, they flower mainly from June - September.

Pauline and the ladies who work with me are in the reception/cafeteria, on the Touring Site or collecting your day tickets around the lakes. Weekly tickets obtained by the self-catering and touring guests are purchased in the reception or site tackle shop on arrival. As we are residential proprietors any requirements or small problems are usually ironed out immediately.

Fortunately, in-between these busy, very enjoyable years, we have been lucky enough to have two beautiful boys, Scott who will shortly be 14 years and Miles who is 12 years. The boys at the weekends are always keen to play tennis or basket ball with any guests who would like to join them in the front of our house.
